What is Empower Your Wellness?

EYW is a fitness and injury prevention website written by an exercise loving physical therapist, yoga, and fitness instructor. 

I simplify how the body works to help you stay active and prevent injuries during yoga, fitness, and everyday life. 

My mission is to help you take an active role in your health and fitness to avoid just going through the motions. You need to know why you’re doing what you’re doing!

I do this by bridging my experience in physical therapy, yoga, and fitness together to give you the best of both worlds.

Who is Empower Your Wellness for?

Great question. The fitness industry as a whole tends to fail regular people.

It’s flooded with trends, misinformation, and gimmicky programs. There’s so much noise out there that answering a simple question can quickly send you in analysis paralysis.

Tell me if any of these sound familiar:

I really want to get back to exercise, but I’m afraid I’ll get hurt again.

I’d like to try fitness classes, but I don’t know the moves, and I’m worried I’ll look silly or can’t keep up.

I can’t do (insert fitness activity), I have a bad (add body part here).

I want to exercise more, but I just don’t know where to start!

I’ve always been an exerciser, and I want to learn more about injury prevention.

You’re not alone! Fitness doesn’t have to be complicated or intimidating. Ditch the overwhelm and learn the basics.

I also want to introduce you to new types of fitness activities that can help you build a well-rounded fitness program that works for you!
